Launching the research paper on ‘Challenging Myanmar’s Centralized Energy Model’

A research publication (Burmese version) on ‘‘Challenging Myanmar’s Centralized Energy Model’, conducted by ENAC was launched today. 

The research covers Myanmar’s energy policy, electricity and energy governance and developments, constitutional division of powers between Union and States/Regional Governments in the electricity and energy sector, and a local case study of Lawpita Hydropower Plant in Kayah State. In addition, the paper also includes electricity and energy policy recommendations for energy sufficient under future democratic federal union.
